How Will Kentucky’s WOTC Unit Process TEGL No. 25-15 Requests?
The Kentucky WOTC Online System is being updated to accommodate TEGL No. 20-15 changes:
Transitional Relief for Employer Submission of Form 8850 (TEGL No. 25-15, page 4, Section 9) will be processed after all Kentucky Online updates have been made. A system wide script which will move all Transitional Relief requests from Denied (reason: IRS Form 8850 not received in a timely manner) to Pending Status to be processed. The projected date for the completion of changes and Script is September 30, 2016 (TEGL No. 25-15, page 6, Section 13).
Note: to Bulk Upload companies. If your company does not want to Transition Relief Denial Letters, those requests may be submitted on Saturday or Sunday. This will decrease the concern of printing and processing undesired system generated Denial Letters.
How To Submit Target Group- Long Term Unemployed Recipient
The Kentucky WOTC Online System is requesting all Employers and Consultants to mail in all applications that are requesting the new WOTC target group- Long Term Unemployed Recipient. At this time our system has not been updated to include the new target group. And as known, WOTC requests for this target group have until September 29, 2016 to submit these to our office to ensure they remain timely.
If you are an external user of our system will we follow up with each of you about next steps in processing these requests once our system has been updated with the TEGL changes, including the long term unemployed new target group.
If you are an internal user of our system then our office staff will data enter the applications and we will process accordingly.

When submiting the requests by mail, Your company should maintain the stamped USPS Form 3665. Note: If the request is lost in the mail, the Kentucky WOTC Unit can only accept a copy with the stamped USPS per ETA Handbook 408, 3rd Edition.
